{Album Review} SevenQRTRS "The Road Leads to Nowhere"

"The Road Leads to Nowhere" the sophomore release from SevenQRTRS is a  gem for the indie Hip Hop fan who grew up on that early 2000's Underground Rap.

SevenQRTRS takes us on a trip with nine self produced tracks, through the Belly of the Beasto the Econo Lodge on "The Road Leads to Nowhere."

Beginning with the title track. A heavy, down tempo beat with distorted guitars lead the way as SevenQRTRS sets the tone for the record by questioning societal norms in textured metaphors delivered with crass.

Guest appearances by fellow artists ILL Murray on Andy Warhol as well as Pockets on Econo Lodge fit nicely with the aesthetic of the album

Graphic Melee shows his skill set with the scratches on the hook of Drop Toxic, my personal favorite off the record. "Enemies are friends, biting copy cats who play pretend, also vulture crews, with mommy's money spent, they impress me zero out of ten." The artist reminds the listener to drop the toxic elements from their surroundings and keep moving.

"The Road Leads to Nowhere" is enough to set SevenQRTRS apart from the No Names he doesn't mention on track eight. "They talk like they have guns, or operate a brothel, their fifty dollar microphones, are nestled in their closet."
