{Album Review} Clvno "Verbose"

The Newest release Verbose from Hip Hop group Clvno, frequently known as Kid Calvin and Height Keech. Is a poetic resurgence to late 90's early 2000's Underground Hip Hop.

Hard Rock influenced Underground Rap beats produced by Height Keech serve as backing to a variety of alternative rhyme styles that mix to make this a record much worth listening to over and over. You'll take home something new each time through.

"When did rocking a full time job, become my hobbe? When did i become such a sinical old man? Oh my god!" Kid Calvin exclaims over a gnarly guitar riff on the first track The Gambler to start the album off on a high note.

Special guest Dynamo-P appears on How Coi, Cowboy  An echoey warped boom bap track with riddling horns, distorted drums, and funky guitar strums. As well as the last song on the record Aestheticism, a hypnotic chopped and screwed feeling song with rugged and far out vocals.

"Ink up in my arms, tree up in my lungs, peace up in my soul, shit i gotta whole lotta love." Kid Calvin goes in on LOVE a funky party song you can nod your head to. My personal favorite song on the project.

This project will certainly speak to the fans of late 90's and early 2000's indie hip hop. Listen to Verbose on Spotify, TidalApple Music, and all digital streaming platforms.
